DMSimon CPA Privacy Policy

Certified Public Accounting firms, like all firms providing individuals with financial services are required by law to disclose their policy regarding the collection and dissemination of client nonpublic information on a yearly basis.

DMSimon CPA is committed to your privacy and retaining your trust. Your right to keep your personal information confidential and to avoid unwanted solicitations is guarded and respected.

We assure you that our policy has always been the “tight-lipped” policy of our profession, and still is. Certified Public Accountants are bound by state regulatory authority and professional code, which includes stringent professional standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Furthermore, Internal Revenue Code Section 7216 prohibits the disclosure of information provided for the preparation of Federal tax returns, except as required by law or for preparation of State and local returns.

Please be assured that DMSimon CPA does not disclose any client information to unrelated third parties without the express permission of our clients. The only exceptions to this are as required or permitted by law and or the Code and Ethical Rulings of our profession. Permitted exceptions include disclosure necessary to comply with lawfully issued subpoenas or court orders, governmental agencies in representation of your interests, state and regulatory authorities with regard to their oversight of the accounting profession, and professional disciplinary authorities.

We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to employees and other parties who must use that information to provide services to you. Their right to further disclose and use the information is strictly limited by policy, law, our Code of Professional Conduct and nondisclosure agreements where appropriate. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to guard your information.
